About BRIDGE4MOTHERS
Many mothers face structural and social barriers when accessing education and training, including:
- Caregiving and family responsibilities
- Limited flexibility in learning formats
- Lack of gender-sensitive and supportive learning environments
- Low confidence and reduced social support
These challenges often result in mothers being excluded from education and skills development, limiting their employment opportunities and long-term economic independence.
Project Objectives
Themain objectives of BRIDGE4MOTHERS are to:
- Strengthen the participation and engagement of vulnerable mothers in VET programmes
- Promote gender-informed and inclusive training approaches within VET systems
- Develop digital, personal, and professional skills relevant to mothers’ life contexts
- Enhance the capacity of VET trainers and organisations to support mothers effectively
- Foster collaboration and knowledge exchange across partner countries
Key Activities
BRIDGE4MOTHERS is structured around five core activities:
- Engagement Strategy & Needs Assessment
Co-creation of an engagement strategy, surveys, and focus group discussions with mothers and VET staff.
- Digital Literacy & Upskilling
Development of flexible, accessible digital learning resources tailored to mothers’ needs.
- Personal & Social Learning (PSL) and Professional Development
Activities focusing on confidence, wellbeing, communication, and peer support.
- Local Pilots
Testing and validating resources and approaches in partner countries.
- Dissemination & Sustainability
Sharing results, organising Info Days, and promoting long-term uptake of project outcomes.
